अद्य एव दीक्षाम् प्रविश भद्रम् ते मुनिपुंगव ।
सिद्धाश्रमो अयम् सिद्धः स्यात् सत्यम् अस्तु वचः तव ॥ ॥१-२९-२९॥
Adya eva dīkṣām praviśa bhadram te munipungava । Siddhāśramo ayam siddhaḥ syāt satyam astu vacaḥ tava ॥ ॥1-29-29॥
Translation
(Rama said): O Preeminent Sage! May good betide you. Please enter into the consecration (Diksha) this very day. May this Siddhashrama become truly 'Siddha' (accomplished), and may your words come true.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(राम ने कहा): हे मुनिपुंगव! आपका कल्याण हो। आप आज ही (यज्ञ की) दीक्षा ग्रहण करें। यह सिद्धाश्रम 'सिद्ध' (सफल) हो और आपका वचन सत्य हो।
English Commentary
Rama takes charge of the situation with a confident request. By urging Vishvamitra to start the Diksha (consecration for the ritual) "this very day," Rama signals his readiness to face the demons immediately. His statement "May this Siddhashrama be truly Siddha" is a pledge. He is effectively saying, "Start your ritual; I guarantee its completion, thereby justifying the name of this place." This marks the moment Rama formally steps into his role as the protector of the Vedic dharma, validating Vishvamitra's faith in bringing him.

राम यहाँ पहल करते हैं। वे विश्वामित्र से अनुरोध करते हैं कि वे बिना विलंब किए 'अद्य एव' (आज ही) यज्ञ दीक्षा ले लें। राम का आत्मविश्वास देखिए—वे कह रहे हैं कि आश्रम 'सिद्धः स्यात्' (सफल हो जाएगा), जिसका भावार्थ है "आप यज्ञ शुरू करें, राक्षसों को मैं देख लूँगा।" राम चाहते हैं कि विश्वामित्र ने जो कहा था (कि यह आश्रम सिद्ध है), वह बात 'सत्य' सिद्ध हो। यह राम की ओर से सुरक्षा की गारंटी है। एक बालक द्वारा महामुनि को ऐसा आश्वासन देना उनके ईश्वरीय तेज और साहस का परिचायक है।
