कामार्थ गुण संयुक्तम् धर्मार्थ गुण विस्तरम् ।
समुद्रम् इव रत्नाढ्यम् सर्व श्रुति मनोहरम् ॥१-३-८।

kāmārtha guṇa saṃyuktam dharmārtha guṇa vistaram |
samudram iva ratnāḍhyam sarva śruti manoharam ॥1-3-8॥
Translation
The union of desires and virtues, extensive in righteousness, is like an ocean enriched with gems, enchanting to all scriptures.

काम, धर्म और गुणों का संगम, जैसे समुद्र रत्नों से भरपूर और सभी श्रुतियों में मनोहर है।
English Commentary
This shloka speaks to the confluence of virtues related to dharma, artha, and kama. It is presented beautifully in the Valmiki Ramayana.
