एषा राम मम उत्पत्तिः स्वस्य वंशस्य कीर्तिता ।
देशस्य च महाबाहो यन् माम् त्वम् परिपृच्छसि ॥१-३४-१३॥
eṣā rāma mama utpattiḥ svasya vaṃśasya kīrtitā |
deśasya ca mahābāho yan mām tvam paripṛcchasi ॥1-34-13॥
Translation
O mighty-armed Rama! This is the story of my origin and my own lineage, as well as the history of this region, which you had asked me about.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे महाबाहु राम! यह मेरे जन्म और मेरे अपने वंश का वर्णन है, तथा उस देश (सिद्धाश्रम) का भी वृत्तांत है, जिसके विषय में तुमने मुझसे पूछा था।
English Commentary
This verse acts as the concluding summary of the long narration spanning several previous verses. Vishvamitra confirms that he has answered Rama's inquiries regarding three things: his own origin (mama utpattiḥ), his lineage (svasya vaṃśasya), and the history of the land (deśasya - Siddhashrama). The address mahābāho (mighty-armed) is a standard martial honorific, perhaps subtly reminding Rama that despite the long storytelling session, his primary role as a warrior remains paramount. It signals the formal end of the 'flashback' sequence.

यह श्लोक इस संवाद का उपसंहार है। राम ने सिद्धाश्रम और विश्वामित्र के कुल के बारे में जिज्ञासा प्रकट की थी, जिसका उत्तर विश्वामित्र ने विस्तार से दिया। 'एषा... मम उत्पत्तिः' (यह मेरी उत्पत्ति है) कहकर वे कथा को विराम देते हैं। 'महाबाहो' संबोधन राम के क्षत्रिय तेज को नमन है। इस श्लोक के साथ ही, विश्वामित्र कथावाचक की भूमिका से हटकर पुनः गुरु और मार्गदर्शक की भूमिका में आ जाते हैं, क्योंकि अब विश्राम का समय हो गया है।
