Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
एवम् उक्त्वा महातेजा विरराम महामुनिः ।
साधु साधु इति ते सर्वे मुनयो हि अभ्यपूजयन् ॥१-३४-१९॥
evam uktvā mahātejā virarāma mahāmuniḥ |
sādhu sādhu iti te sarve munayo hi abhyapūjayan ॥1-34-19॥
Translation
Having spoken thus, the great sage of great brilliance fell silent. Indeed, all those sages present there honored him, exclaiming "Excellent! Excellent!"
हिंदी अनुवाद
ऐसा कहकर महातेजस्वी महामुनि (विश्वामित्र) चुप हो गए। तब वहाँ उपस्थित उन सभी मुनियों ने 'साधु-साधु' (बहुत सुंदर, बहुत सुंदर) कहकर उनका अभिनन्दन (पूजन) किया।
English Commentary
This verse marks the formal end of Vishvamitra's narration for the evening. The reaction of the audience—composed of other hermits accompanying them—is one of unanimous validation (sādhu sādhu iti). This choral response highlights the communal aspect of their journey; Rama and Lakshmana are not alone with Vishvamitra, but are part of a traveling ashram. The honorifics mahātejā (great radiance) and mahāmuniḥ (great sage) reiterate Vishvamitra's commanding presence among his peers.
