विशेषेण भवान् एव विश्वामित्र महायशः ।
कौशिकी सरिताम् श्रेष्ठः कुल उद्योतकरी तव ॥१-३४-२१॥
viśeṣeṇa bhavān eva viśvāmitra mahāyaśaḥ |
kauśikī saritām śreṣṭhaḥ kula udyotakarī tava ॥1-34-21॥
Translation
O highly illustrious Vishvamitra! You, in particular, are the glory of this lineage. And Kaushiki, the best of rivers, brings distinct radiance to your family.

हे महायशस्वी विश्वामित्र! विशेष रूप से आप (इस वंश की शोभा हैं)। और नदियों में श्रेष्ठ 'कौशिकी' आपकी कुल की कीर्ति को प्रकाशित करने वाली (कुल उद्योतकरी) है।
English Commentary
The eulogy culminates in personal praise. The sages single out Vishvamitra as the most distinguished member (viśeṣeṇa bhavān eva) of an already illustrious clan. They also re-emphasize the importance of his sister, the river Kaushiki, calling her kula udyotakarī (the illuminator of the family). This phrase implies that her transformation into a sacred river has immortalized the family name geographically and spiritually, just as Vishvamitra has done through his asceticism.

मुनियों की प्रशंसा अब सामान्य वंश से हटकर विशेष व्यक्ति (विश्वामित्र) पर केंद्रित होती है। 'विशेषेण भवान् एव' का अर्थ है कि यद्यपि पूरा वंश महान है, किन्तु विश्वामित्र उस मुकुट के मणि समान हैं। वे कौशिकी नदी (सत्यवती) का भी उल्लेख करते हैं, जिसे 'कुल उद्योतकरी' (कुल को उज्जल करने वाली) कहा गया है। यह भाई-बहन की जोड़ी—एक ब्रह्मर्षि और एक पुण्य सलिला नदी—सचमुच इस वंश को अद्वितीय बनाती है। यह श्लोक विश्वामित्र की व्यक्तिगत उपलब्धियों और उनके पारिवारिक गौरव दोनों को सम्मान देता है।
