गृहीत्वा क्षीरम् एक अह्ना सुकुमार वपुः तदा ।
अजयत् स्वेन वीर्येण दैत्य सैन्य गणान् विभुः ॥ ॥१-३७-२९॥
gṛhītvā kṣīram eka ahnā sukumāra vapuḥ tadā । ajayat svena vīryeṇa daitya sainya gaṇān vibhuḥ ॥ ॥1-37-29॥
Translation
Drinking milk for just one day, that Lord of tender body, by his own prowess, conquered the hosts of the demon army.

केवल एक दिन दूध पीकर ही, उस सुकुमार शरीर वाले प्रभु (स्कन्द) ने अपने वीर्य (पराक्रम) से दैत्यों की सेना के समूहों को जीत लिया।
English Commentary
The timeline here serves to highlight the deity's omnipotence. 'Eka ahnā' (in a single day) implies supernatural maturation. Despite having a 'sukumāra vapuḥ' (tender/delicate body of a child), his intrinsic 'virya' (valor/potency) was sufficient to defeat the 'Daitya' armies. This juxtaposition of a delicate infant body and earth-shattering military power is a common motif in descriptions of Skanda. It signifies that his strength is not muscular but essential and spiritual (Tejas). He fulfilled the cosmic requirement of his birth almost immediately.
