Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तत् श्रुत्वा वचनम् तस्य कृतार्था रघुनन्दन ।
प्रणिपत्य सुराः सर्वे पितामहम् अपूजयन् ॥ ॥१-३७-९॥
tat śrutvā vacanam tasya kṛtārthā raghunandana । praṇipatya surāḥ sarve pitāmaham apūjayan ॥ ॥1-37-9॥
Translation
O Raghunandana (Rama)! Hearing those words of his, all the Devas felt their purpose accomplished; bowing down, they worshipped the Grandfather (Brahma).
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे रघुनन्दन! ब्रह्माजी के उस वचन को सुनकर सभी देवता कृतार्थ हो गए और उन्होंने पितामह को प्रणाम करके उनकी पूजा की।
English Commentary
Vishwamitra addresses Rama as 'Raghunandana'. The Devas' reaction here is one of being 'kritartha' (fulfilled/accomplished). The task is not yet physically complete, only a solution has been found, yet their faith in Brahma's words is such that they consider their purpose served. This symbolizes deep faith and trust. Knowing the solution to a problem is akin to winning half the battle mentally. The Devas respectfully bowed to Brahma, following the Indian tradition of expressing gratitude when guidance is received from a guru or elder.

विश्वामित्र श्रीराम को संबोधित करते हुए 'रघुनन्दन' कहते हैं। देवताओं की प्रतिक्रिया यहाँ 'कृतार्थ' (धन्य/सफल मनोरथ) होने की है। अभी कार्य संपन्न नहीं हुआ है, केवल उपाय मिला है, फिर भी ब्रह्माजी के वचनों पर उन्हें इतना विश्वास है कि वे स्वयं को सफल मानने लगे। यह श्रद्धा और विश्वास का प्रतीक है। समस्या का समाधान मिल जाना ही मानसिक रूप से आधी विजय प्राप्त करने जैसा है। देवताओं ने आदरपूर्वक ब्रह्माजी को प्रणाम किया, जो भारतीय संस्कृति में गुरु या वरिष्ठ जनों द्वारा मार्गदर्शन मिलने पर आभार प्रकट करने की परंपरा है।
