अथ दीर्घेण कालेन रूप यौवनशालिनः ।
षष्टिः पुत्र सहस्राणि सगरस्य अभवन् तदा ॥ ॥१-३८-१९॥
atha dīrgheṇa kālena rūpa yauvanaśālinaḥ । ṣaṣṭiḥ putra sahasrāṇi sagarasya abhavan tadā ॥ ॥1-38-19॥
Translation
Then, after a long time, those sixty thousand sons of Sagara became endowed with beauty and youth.

तदनंतर दीर्घकाल के बाद, सगर के वे साठ हजार पुत्र रूप और यौवन से सुशोभित हो गए।
English Commentary
This verse confirms the successful maturation of the sixty thousand sons. They are described as 'rupa-yauvana-shalinah' (endowed with beauty and youth), indicating physically perfect specimens despite their unusual birth. The repetition of the number and their simultaneous coming of age signals a massive accumulation of power for King Sagara. Narratively, this sets the board: a vast, youthful, and powerful force has been unleashed. The phrase 'dirghena kalena' (after a long time) suggests that Sagara waited patiently for this power, making the subsequent loss even more tragic.

यह श्लोक पुष्टि करता है कि वह विचित्र पालन-पोषण सफल रहा। सभी साठ हजार पुत्र जीवित बचे और युवा हुए। 'रूप यौवनशालिनः' बताता है कि वे देखने में सुंदर और शक्तिशाली थे। संख्या (60,000) और उनका एक साथ युवा होना सगर की सैन्य शक्ति में भारी वृद्धि का संकेत है। यह समय सगर के लिए गर्व का रहा होगा—जहाँ वे पहले निःसंतान थे, अब उनके पास एक विशाल 'सेना' रूपी परिवार है। लेकिन यह सामूहिक यौवन और शक्ति ही उनके विनाश का कारण बनेगी, क्योंकि सामूहिक मानसिकता (mob mentality) में विवेक अक्सर खो जाता है।
