Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तस्य तद् वचनम् श्रुत्वा सर्वान् एव दिशा गजान् ।
यथा क्रमम् यथा न्यायम् प्रष्टुम् समुपचक्रमे ॥ ॥१-४१-१०॥
tasya tad vacanam śrutvā sarvān eva diśā gajān । yathā kramam yathā nyāyam praṣṭum samupacakrame ॥ ॥1-41-10॥
Translation
Hearing his words, Anshuman proceeded to question all the other directional elephants in due order and according to propriety.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उसके वचन सुनकर, (अंशुमान) ने अन्य सभी दिग्गजों से भी क्रमानुसार (यथा क्रमम्) और उचित रीति (यथा न्यायम्) से पूछना आरम्भ किया।
English Commentary
Encouraged by the first elephant, Anshuman diligently visits the others. The phrase yatha kramam (in order) and yatha nyayam (according to rule/propriety) emphasizes his methodical and respectful nature. He doesn't rush despite the good news; he ensures that he pays homage to all the cosmic supports of the earth. This thoroughness ensures he gathers collective blessings and overlooks no protocol, establishing him as a perfect representative of Dharma.

एक दिग्गज से शुभ समाचार मिलने पर भी अंशुमान ने औपचारिकता पूरी की। उसने 'यथा क्रमम्' (क्रम के अनुसार - पूर्व, दक्षिण, पश्चिम, उत्तर) और 'यथा न्यायम्' (न्यायपूर्ण रीति से, आदरपूर्वक) अन्य दिग्गजों से भी वही प्रश्न पूछे। यह उसकी धैर्यवान और विधि-सम्मत कार्यशैली का परिचायक है। वह किसी भी दैवीय शक्ति की उपेक्षा नहीं करना चाहता था और सभी का आशीर्वाद लेकर ही आगे बढ़ना चाहता था।
