Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
दिशा गजः तु तत् श्रुत्वा प्रत्युवाच महामतिः ।
आसमंज कृतार्थः त्वम् सह अश्वः शीघ्रम् एष्यसि ॥ ॥१-४१-९॥
diśā gajaḥ tu tat śrutvā pratyuvāca mahāmatiḥ । āsamaṃja kṛtārthaḥ tvam saha aśvaḥ śīghram eṣyasi ॥ ॥1-41-9॥
Translation
Hearing that, the highly intelligent elephant replied, "O son of Asamanja! You have accomplished your purpose; you will return quickly with the horse."
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह महाबुद्धिमान दिग्गज यह सुनकर बोला—"हे असमंजपुत्र (अंशुमान)! तुम कृतार्थ (सफल) होगे और घोड़े के साथ शीघ्र ही (लौट) आओगे।"
English Commentary
The Diggaja responds with prophetic assurance. Addressing Anshuman by his patronymic Asamanja (son of Asamanja), the guardian affirms his success. The elephant is described as mahamatih (greatly wise), lending weight to his words. He predicts that Anshuman will return saha ashvah (with the horse). This blessing validates Anshuman’s righteous conduct and assures the reader that the quest will be successful, unlike the tragic ending of the previous expedition.

दिग्गज ने अंशुमान को 'आसमंज' (असमंज का पुत्र) कहकर संबोधित किया। दिग्गज को 'महामतिः' (महान बुद्धि वाला) कहा गया है, इसलिए उसकी भविष्यवाणी सत्य होनी निश्चित है। उसने अंशुमान को आशीर्वाद दिया कि वह 'कृतार्थ' (सफल) होगा और घोड़े के साथ वापस आएगा। यह सकारात्मक संकेत है जो बताता है कि अंशुमान की विनम्रता और धर्मपालन ने उसे देवताओं का आशीर्वाद दिला दिया है, जो उसके चाचाओं को प्राप्त नहीं हुआ था।
