निर्गच्छ च अश्वम् महाभाग संगृह्य पुरुषर्षभ ।
यज्ञम् पैतामहम् वीर निर्वर्तयितुम् अर्हसि ॥ ॥१-४१-२१॥
Nirgaccha ca aśvam mahābhāga saṃgṛhya puruṣarṣabha । Yajñam paitāmaham vīra nirvartayitum arhasi ॥ ॥1-41-21॥
Translation
"Go forth, O highly fortunate one, taking this horse, O bull among men. O hero, you must complete the sacrifice of your grandfather."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"हे महाभाग! हे वीर पुरुषश्रेष्ठ! अब तुम इस अश्व को लेकर जाओ और अपने पितामह (दादा सगर) के यज्ञ को पूर्ण करो।"
English Commentary
Having outlined the long-term spiritual solution, Garuda brings Anshuman back to the immediate exigency: the completion of King Sagara's Ashwamedha Yajna. Leaving a Vedic sacrifice incomplete is considered inauspicious and a failure of kingly duty. Garuda instructs him to take the horse (aśvam saṃgṛhya) and return. This highlights the balance between spiritual goals (salvation of ancestors) and worldly duties (Raj Dharma). Anshuman is tasked with closing the loop on the current crisis before the lineage can tackle the greater challenge of bringing down the Ganges.

भविष्य (गंगा अवतरण) का मार्ग दिखाने के बाद, गरुड़ अंशुमान को वर्तमान कर्तव्य पर वापस लाते हैं। अभी प्राथमिकता 'पैतामहम् यज्ञम्' (दादा का यज्ञ) पूरा करना है। यदि यज्ञ अधूरा रहता, तो यह राजा और राज्य के लिए अशुभ होता। गरुड़ एक मार्गदर्शक (Mentor) की भूमिका निभाते हुए अंशुमान को समझाते हैं कि शोक और भविष्य की योजनाओं के बीच वर्तमान दायित्व को नहीं भूलना चाहिए। 'निर्वर्तयितुम् अर्हसि' (तुम्हें पूरा करना चाहिए) एक आदेशात्मक निर्देश है कि अभी अश्व को ले जाना ही धर्म है।
