एवम् उक्तो अंशुमान् सम्यक् सगरेण महात्मना ।
धनुर् आदाय खड्गम् च जगाम लघुविक्रमः ॥ ॥१-४१-५॥
evam ukto aṃśumān samyak sagareṇa mahātmanā । dhanur ādāya khaḍgam ca jagāma laghuvikramaḥ ॥ ॥1-41-5॥
Translation
Thus properly instructed by the high-souled Sagara, Anshuman took up his bow and sword and departed with swift prowess.
हिंदी अनुवाद
महात्मा सगर द्वारा इस प्रकार भली-भांति (सम्यक्) समझाए जाने पर, अंशुमान ने धनुष और खड्ग (तलवार) लिया और शीघ्रता से प्रस्थान किया।
English Commentary
Anshuman acts immediately upon the advice, which is described as samyak (proper/thorough). Armed with the bow and sword as instructed, he leaves. The epithet laghuvikramah (one of light/swift prowess) indicates agility and speed. Unlike the lumbering army of his uncles, Anshuman moves quickly and efficiently. This characterizes him as a dynamic hero, ready to face the unknown dangers of the underworld alone, armed with his grandfather's wisdom and his own weapons.

अंशुमान अपने पितामह के आदेश का तत्काल पालन करते हैं। यहाँ 'सम्यक्' (भली-भांति/उचित रूप से) शब्द सगर के उपदेश की पूर्णता को दर्शाता है। अंशुमान के लिए 'लघुविक्रमः' विशेषण का प्रयोग हुआ है, जिसका अर्थ है 'फुर्तीला पराक्रमी' या 'शीघ्र कार्य करने वाला'। वह भारी भरकम सेना लेकर नहीं, बल्कि अकेले अपनी कुशलता और हथियारों के साथ निकला। यह उसकी तत्परता और आत्मविश्वास को दिखाता है। वह उस मार्ग पर चल पड़ा जो उसके चाचाओं के विनाश का साक्षी था।
