भस्मनि अथ आप्लुते राम गंगाइआः सलिलेन वै ।
सर्व लोक प्रभुः ब्रह्मा राजानम् इदम् अब्रवीत् ॥ ॥१-४४-२॥
Bhasmani atha āplute rāma gaṅgāyāḥ salilena vai |
Sarva loka prabhuḥ brahmā rājānam idam abravīt ॥1-44-2॥
Translation
O Rama! As soon as the ashes were inundated by the waters of the Ganga, Brahma, the Lord of all worlds, spoke these words to the King.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राम! गंगा के जल से उस भस्म राशि के प्लावित (गीला) होते ही, समस्त लोकों के स्वामी ब्रह्माजी ने राजा भगीरथ से यह वचन कहा।
English Commentary
The synchronization creates a profound impact: the moment the water touches the ashes, the Creator speaks. Addressing Rama, the narrator emphasizes the gravity of the event. The title Sarva loka prabhu (Lord of all worlds) for Brahma indicates that the liberation of 60,000 souls was a matter of cosmic governance, not just a family affair. Brahma’s appearance serves as the divine validation of Bhagiratha’s success. In the Vedic framework, while Shiva bore the force (Shakti), Brahma grants the fruit (Phala) of the ritual action. The inundation of the ashes is the physical trigger for a metaphysical dialogue that follows.

जैसे ही गंगा का स्पर्श भस्म से हुआ, कार्य सिद्ध हो गया। इस सिद्धि की पुष्टि के लिए स्वयं 'सर्व लोक प्रभु' ब्रह्मा प्रकट हुए। हे राम! विश्वामित्र यहाँ यह स्पष्ट करते हैं कि यह घटना कोई साधारण तर्पण नहीं थी, बल्कि एक ब्रह्मांडीय घटना थी जिसकी निगरानी स्वयं विधाता कर रहे थे। ब्रह्माजी का प्रकट होना यह दर्शाता है कि भगीरथ का प्रयास धर्म सम्मत था और सृष्टि के नियमों के अंतर्गत एक महान उपलब्धि थी। गंगा जल का स्पर्श मात्र ही मुक्ति के लिए पर्याप्त था, लेकिन ब्रह्मा का कथन उस मुक्ति पर आधिकारिक मुहर (approval) की तरह था। यह 'क्रिया' (जल स्पर्श) और 'फल' (ब्रह्मा का वरदान) के बीच का तत्काल संबंध दर्शाता है।
