यदा क्षयम् गतम् सर्वम् तदा विष्णुः महाबलः ।
अमृतम् सः अहरत् तूर्णम् मायाम् आस्थाय मोहिनीम् ॥ ॥१-४५-४२॥
yadā kṣayam gatam sarvam tadā viṣṇuḥ mahābalaḥ |
amṛtam saḥ aharat tūrṇam māyām āsthāya mohinīm ॥1-45-42॥
Translation
When everything was on the verge of annihilation, the mighty Vishnu assumed the illusionary form of Mohini and swiftly took away the Nectar.

जब सब कुछ नष्ट होने की कगार पर था, तब महाबली विष्णु ने 'मोहिनी' माया का रूप धारण किया और शीघ्रता से अमृत का हरण कर लिया।
English Commentary
This verse encapsulates the turning point of the war: the Mohini Avatar. When brute force led only to mutual destruction (kshayam gatam sarvam), Vishnu employed Maya (illusion/strategy). By assuming the enchanting female form (Mohini), He secured the Amrita. The text emphasizes Vishnu's agility (turnam) and power (mahabalah), suggesting that preserving the cosmic order sometimes requires unconventional means beyond straightforward warfare.

यहाँ विष्णु के प्रसिद्ध 'मोहिनी अवतार' का संक्षिप्त किन्तु स्पष्ट उल्लेख है। जब युद्ध से कोई निर्णय नहीं निकल रहा था और विनाश निकट था, विष्णु ने बल के स्थान पर 'माया' (छल/रणनीति) का प्रयोग किया। 'तूर्णम्' (शीघ्रता से) शब्द दर्शाता है कि यह कार्य बहुत फुर्ती से किया गया ताकि असुरों को संभलने का मौका न मिले। यह कूटनीति का उच्चतम उदाहरण है।
