ततः प्रभाते विमले विश्वामित्रम् तपोधनम्।
उवाच राघवो वाक्यम् कृत आह्निकम् अरिन्दमः ॥१-४५-५॥
tataḥ prabhāte vimale viśvāmitram tapodhanam |
uvāca rāghavo vākyam kṛta āhnikam arindamaḥ ॥1-45-5॥
Translation
Then, when the clear morning had arrived, Raghava, the tamer of enemies, having performed his daily rituals, spoke to Vishvamitra, whose wealth is asceticism.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर निर्मल प्रभात होने पर, नित्यकर्म (आह्निक) पूर्ण करने के पश्चात, अरिन्दम राघव ने तपोधन विश्वामित्र से यह वचन कहा।
English Commentary
The scene shifts to the break of day (Prabhate vimale). Before initiating any conversation or travel, Rama performs his 'Ahnikam' (daily morning rituals/prayers). This highlights the strict disciplinary code of the Vedic lifestyle. Rama is styled as Arindama (subduer of foes) and Vishvamitra as Tapodhana (one rich in asceticism), contrasting martial power with spiritual power. The verse establishes that spiritual duty precedes all other activities. Even in the middle of a journey, the routine of purification and prayer is strictly adhered to by the ideal prince.

रात बीतने के बाद अब 'विमले प्रभाते' (स्वच्छ/निर्मल सुबह) का दृश्य है। राम को 'अरिन्दम' (शत्रु-दमनक) और विश्वामित्र को 'तपोधन' (तपस्या ही जिनका धन है) कहा गया है। महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि राम ने बात करने से पहले 'कृत आह्निकम्' (प्रातःकालीन नित्य कर्म/संध्या-वंदन आदि) संपन्न किया। यह वैदिक अनुशासन को दर्शाता है—चाहे रात भर जागे हों या यात्रा में हों, सूर्योदय के समय नित्य कर्म का त्याग नहीं किया जाता। सदाचार और अनुशासन राम के चरित्र के मूल स्तंभ हैं, जो यहाँ स्पष्ट दिखाई देते हैं।
