Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
नौः एषा हि सुख आستيर्णा ऋषीणाम् पुण्य कर्मणाम् ।
भगवंतम् इह प्राप्तम् ज्ञात्वा त्वरितम् आगता ॥१-४५-७॥
nauḥ eṣā hi sukha āstīrṇā ṛṣīṇām puṇya karmaṇām |
bhagavantam iha prāptam jñātvā tvaritam āgatā ॥1-45-7॥
Translation
"Here is a boat, comfortably furnished, belonging to the Rishis of meritorious deeds. Knowing that Your Holiness has arrived here, it has come quickly."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"पुण्यकर्मा ऋषियों की यह सुखद और सुसज्जित नौका यहाँ उपस्थित है। यह नौका भगवान (आप) को यहाँ आया हुआ जानकर शीघ्र ही आ गई है।"
English Commentary
Rama points out the logistical readiness. A boat (nau) belonging to the local holy sages is ready. It is described as sukha astirna (comfortably spread/furnished), implying it is safe and suitable for travel. Rama attributes the prompt arrival of the boat not to luck, but to the spiritual magnetism of Vishvamitra. He says the boat came quickly knowing that the 'Bhagavantam' (The Revered One) had arrived. This reflects the ancient Indian protocol where nature and society bow to the presence of a realized soul. It also shows Rama's observational skills and his role in managing the travel logistics for his guru.

राम व्यावहारिक व्यवस्था की ओर संकेत करते हैं। नदी पार करने के लिए 'नौः' (नाव) तैयार है। यह नाव सामान्य नहीं है, बल्कि 'पुण्य कर्मणाम् ऋषीणाम्' (पुण्यकर्मी ऋषियों की) है, जो संभवतः वहां के स्थानीय आश्रमवासी हैं। राम विनयपूर्वक कहते हैं कि यह नाव विश्वामित्र ('भगवंतम्') के आगमन को जानकर ही 'त्वरितम् आगता' (शीघ्र आ गई है)। यहाँ राम अपनी नहीं, बल्कि अपने गुरु के प्रभाव की प्रशंसा कर रहे हैं। यह शिष्टाचार है कि शिष्य सुविधाओं का श्रेय गुरु के प्रताप को देता है। 'सुख आस्तीर्णा' का अर्थ है कि नाव में बैठने की आरामदायक व्यवस्था है।
