तपः चरन्त्या वर्षाणि दश वीर्यवताम् वर ।
अवशिष्टानि भद्रम् ते भ्रातरम् द्रक्ष्यसे ततः ॥ ॥१-४६-१३॥
Tapaḥ carantyā varṣāṇi daśa vīryavatām vara । Avaśiṣṭāni bhadram te bhrātaram drakṣyase tataḥ ॥ ॥1-46-13॥
Translation
"O best of the powerful, only ten years of performing penance remain. Goodness to you. You will see your brother then."

"हे वीरों में श्रेष्ठ! तपस्या करते हुए अब केवल दस वर्ष शेष बचे हैं। तुम्हारा कल्याण हो। उसके बाद तुम अपने भाई को देखोगे।"
English Commentary
Diti's tone shifts significantly. She addresses Indra as Viryavatam Vara (Best among the powerful) and blesses him. Crucially, she refers to the unborn child as Bhrataram (brother), not as "your slayer." This indicates a transformation in her intent; the 990 years of Indra's devoted service have softened her heart. She seems to be reassuring Indra that the new child will be family, implying a desire for reconciliation rather than the annihilation she originally sought.

दिति के स्वर में अब कोमलता है। वह इन्द्र को 'वीर्यवताम् वर' (वीरों में श्रेष्ठ) कहती हैं और उन्हें 'भद्रम् ते' (तुम्हारा कल्याण हो) का आशीर्वाद देती हैं। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि वह होने वाले पुत्र को इन्द्र का शत्रु नहीं, बल्कि 'भ्रातरम्' (भाई) कह रही हैं। 990 वर्षों की सेवा ने दिति के प्रतिशोध को स्नेह में बदल दिया है या कम से कम उन्होंने सह-अस्तित्व की योजना बना ली है। वह इन्द्र को आश्वस्त कर रही हैं कि आने वाला बालक उनका भाई होगा, हत्यारा नहीं।
