यम् अहम् त्वत् कृते पुत्र तम् आधास्ये जय उत्सुकम् ।
त्रैलोक्य विजयम् पुत्र सह भोक्ष्यसि विज्वरः ॥ ॥१-४६-१४॥
Yam aham tvat kṛte putra tam ādhāsye jaya utsukam । Trailokya vijayam putra saha bhokṣyasi vijvaraḥ ॥ ॥1-46-14॥
Translation
"O son! Him whom I shall bear for your sake, who is eager for victory—with that son, you shall enjoy the victory (sovereignty) of the three worlds, free from fever (anxiety)."
हिंदी अनुवाद
"हे पुत्र! जिसे मैं तुम्हारे लिए (तुम्हारे हित के लिए) धारण करूँगी और जो विजय के लिए उत्सुक होगा, उस पुत्र के साथ तुम ज्वर-रहित (चिंतामुक्त) होकर तीनों लोकों की विजय (राज्य) का भोग करोगे।"
English Commentary
Diti explicitly pivots from vengeance to alliance. She claims she is bearing this child Tvat Krite (for your sake/cause). She envisions a future where Indra and his new brother rule jointly. She promises Indra he will be Vijvarah—literally "feverless," meaning free from the anxiety of losing his throne. Diti attempts to rewrite the destiny of the child from a usurper to a co-ruler. However, Indra remains wary, knowing the fundamental nature of the Asuras and the original curse, despite Diti's current benevolent intentions.

यहाँ दिति का हृदय परिवर्तन पूर्ण रूप से स्पष्ट होता है। वह कहती हैं 'त्वत् कृते' (तुम्हारे लिए/तुम्हारे हित में)। जो पुत्र पहले इन्द्र के वध के लिए माँगा गया था, अब वह इन्द्र की सहायता के लिए बताया जा रहा है। दिति प्रस्ताव रखती हैं कि इन्द्र और उनका नया भाई मिलकर तीनों लोकों पर राज करेंगे। 'विज्वरः' (ज्वर रहित/चिंता मुक्त) शब्द का अर्थ है कि इन्द्र को अब अपने सिंहासन छिनने का डर नहीं होना चाहिए। दिति एक माँ की तरह दोनों पक्षों में संधि कराना चाहती हैं, परन्तु नियति को कुछ और ही मंजूर था।
