इक्ष्वाकोस्तु प्रसादेन सर्वे वैशालिका नृपाः ।
दीर्घ आयुषो महात्मानो वीर्यवन्तः सुधार्मिकाः ॥१-४७-१८॥
ikṣvākostu prasādena sarve vaiśālikā nṛpāḥ । dīrgha āyuṣo mahātmāno vīryavantaḥ sudhārmikāḥ ॥1-47-18॥
Translation
"By the grace of Ikshvaku, all the kings of Vishala are long-lived, high-souled, powerful, and exceedingly righteous."

"इक्ष्वाकु के प्रसाद (कृपा/वरदान) से विशाला के सभी राजा (वैशालिका नृपाः) दीर्घायु, महात्मा, वीर्यवान और अत्यंत धर्मपरायण होते हैं।"
English Commentary
This verse attributes the prosperity and longevity of the Vishala dynasty directly to the grace (prasada) of their progenitor, King Ikshvaku. It reinforces the Vedic concept that the merit (punya) of ancestors safeguards their descendants. By characterizing the kings as sudharmikah (exceedingly righteous), Vishvamitra assures Rama that although they are in a different kingdom, the moral framework (Dharma) remains consistent with that of Ayodhya.

यह श्लोक इक्ष्वाकु वंश की महिमा का गान करता है। विशाला के राजाओं के विशेष गुण—लंबी आयु और धर्मपरायणता—को उनके मूल पुरुष इक्ष्वाकु के आशीर्वाद का फल बताया गया है। यह 'पितृ-ऋण' और 'कुल-परंपरा' की भारतीय अवधारणा को पुष्ट करता है, जहाँ पूर्वजों के पुण्य और आशीर्वाद संतानों की रक्षा और उन्नति का कारण बनते हैं। 'सुधार्मिकाः' (अत्यंत धार्मिक) विशेषण राम को आश्वस्त करता है कि वे एक सुरक्षित और पवित्र स्थान पर हैं।
