चत्वारः तु सुरश्रेष्ठ दिशो वै तव शासनात् ।
संचरिष्यन्ति भद्रम् ते कलेन हि मम आत्मजाः ॥१-४७-६॥
catvāraḥ tu suraśreṣṭa diśo vai tava śāsanāt । saṃcariṣyanti bhadram te kalena hi mama ātmajāḥ ॥1-47-6॥
Translation
O best of Suras, the remaining four sons of mine shall roam the directions under your command. May prosperity be yours; they will indeed be dedicated to you in time.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे सुरश्रेष्ठ! शेष चार जो मेरे पुत्र हैं, वे तुम्हारी आज्ञा से (अन्य) दिशाओं में विचरण करेंगे। तुम्हारा कल्याण हो; वे समय-समय पर (तुम्हारी सेवा में) तत्पर रहेंगे।
English Commentary
Diti completes the pact by placing the remaining four groups explicitly under Indra's command (tava shasanat) to guard the cardinal directions. Her blessing, bhadram te (may prosperity be yours), signifies the formal end of her vendetta. This is a pivotal moment in mythology where potential agents of chaos are co-opted into the order of Dharma. The Maruts transform from Indra’s intended killers into his most loyal lieutenants, famously known later in the Vedas as Indra's constant companions (Marut-sakha).

दिति अब पूरी तरह से समर्पण और सहयोग की मुद्रा में हैं। शेष चार मरुत गणों को वे इंद्र के अधीन ('तव शासनात्') कर देती हैं। 'भद्रम् ते' (तुम्हारा कल्याण हो) का आशीर्वाद देकर वे इंद्र के प्रति अपनी पुरानी शत्रुता को समाप्त करती हैं। यह श्लोक देव-असुर संघर्ष के एक दुर्लभ, शांतिपूर्ण समाधान का प्रतीक है जहाँ एक संभावित शत्रु (मरुत) को प्रणाली (System) में समाहित (co-opt) कर लिया गया। अब मरुत इंद्र के 'मरुत्सखा' (मित्र) कहलाएंगे।
