Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
सुश्रोणि परितुष्टो अस्मि गमिष्यामि यथा आगतम् ।
एवम् संगम्य तु तया निश्चक्राम उटजात् ततः ॥ ॥१-४८-२३॥
Sushroni paritushto asmi gamishyaami yathaa aagatam |
Evam sangamya tu tayaa nishchakraama utajaat tatah ॥1-48-23॥
Translation
"O one with beautiful hips! I am fully satisfied. I shall go just as I came." Thus, having united with her, he emerged from the hut.
हिंदी अनुवाद
"हे सुंदर नितंबों वाली! मैं पूर्ण संतुष्ट हूँ। जैसे आया था, वैसे ही चला जाऊंगा।" इस प्रकार उसके साथ संगम करके वह (इंद्र) कुटिया (पर्णकुटी) से बाहर निकला।
English Commentary
Indra bids farewell, expressing his satisfaction (paritushto asmi). His assurance that he will leave "just as he came" implies he intends to slip away undetected, maintaining the secrecy of the affair. He exits the utaja (hut made of leaves). The narrative pacing quickens here. The act is done, the departure is attempted, but the "perfect crime" is about to be intercepted by the arrival of Dharma personified in Gautama.

इंद्र अहल्या को आश्वस्त करते हुए उसे 'सुश्रोणि' (सुंदर अंगों वाली) कहकर संबोधित करते हैं और अपनी तुष्टि व्यक्त करते हैं। 'यथा आगतम्' (जैसे आया था) का अर्थ है कि वह चुपचाप, बिना किसी के देखे, उसी मायावी रूप में निकल जाएगा। किन्तु नियति को कुछ और ही मंजूर था। 'उटजात्' (कुटिया से) बाहर निकलना, इंद्र के पतन की शुरुआत है। यह श्लोक घटनाक्रम को उस बिंदु पर ले आता है जहाँ गोपनीयता टूटने वाली है।
