भूषयन्तौ इमम् देशम् चन्द्र सूर्यौ इव अंबरम् ।
परस्परेण सदृशौ प्रमाण इन्गित चेष्टितैः ॥१-४८-५॥
bhūṣayantau imam deśam candra sūryau iva aṃbaram । paraspareṇa sadṛśau pramāṇa ingita ceṣṭitaiḥ ॥1-48-5॥
Translation
"Adorning this land just as the Sun and Moon adorn the sky, they are similar to each other in size, gestures, and demeanor."

"जैसे सूर्य और चन्द्रमा आकाश को सुशोभित करते हैं, वैसे ही ये इस देश को सुशोभित कर रहे हैं। ये दोनों कद-काठी (प्रमाण), इशारों (इंगित) और चेष्टाओं में एक-दूसरे के समान (सदृश) हैं।"
English Commentary
Sumati concludes his observation with a celestial metaphor: they adorn the land like the Sun and Moon adorn the sky. This pairing suggests one radiates fierce power (Sun/Rama) and the other cool radiance (Moon/Lakshmana), yet they are harmonious. He notes their synchronicity in Pramana (stature/size), Ingita (subtle hints/expressions), and Cheshthita (actions/movements), emphasizing the profound bond and training shared by the brothers.

सुमति की प्रशंसा यहाँ चरम पर है। राम और लक्ष्मण की तुलना 'सूर्य और चन्द्र' से करना उनकी तेजस्विता (सूर्य) और सौम्यता (चन्द्र) दोनों को दर्शाता है। 'प्रमाण' (शारीरिक माप), 'इंगित' (भाव-भंगिमा/इशारे) और 'चेष्टित' (व्यवहार) में समानता होना उनके भाईचारे और एक ही शिक्षा-दीक्षा का प्रमाण है। यह श्लोक बताता है कि राम और लक्ष्मण एक-दूसरे के दर्पण (Mirror images) जैसे हैं।
