Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
पुरोधा ऋत्विजः चैव राजा च सह मंत्रिभिः ।
आसनेषु यथा न्यायम् उपविष्टान् समन्ततः ॥ ॥१-५०-१२॥
Purodhā ṛtvijaḥ caiva rājā ca saha mantribhiḥ । Āsaneṣu yathā nyāyam upaviṣṭān samantataḥ ॥ ॥1-50-12॥
Translation
Then the family priest, the officiating priests, and the King along with his ministers, all took their seats all around, according to rank and protocol.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब पुरोहित, ऋत्विक और मंत्रियों सहित राजा भी, सब ओर मर्यादा के अनुसार (यथा-न्याय) आसनों पर बैठ गए।
English Commentary
This verse describes the orderly seating of the assembly. The term Yatha-nyayam (according to rule/propriety) indicates a strict adherence to protocol. The priests (Ritvijas), the royal priest (Purodha), the King, and the ministers all have designated spots based on their hierarchy. This structured environment sets a tone of dignity and discipline appropriate for a royal sacrificial ground.

बैठने की व्यवस्था (Seating Arrangement) का यहाँ विशेष उल्लेख है। 'यथा-न्यायम्' (न्याय/नियम के अनुसार) शब्द महत्वपूर्ण है। जिसका जो पद था—चाहे वह पुरोहित हो, ऋत्विक हो या मंत्री—वह उसी क्रम में बैठा। यह दर्शाता है कि जनक की सभा में अनुशासन अत्यंत कठोर था। किसी भी बड़े आयोजन में पदानुक्रम (hierarchy) का पालन शांति और व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए आवश्यक होता है।
