दृष्ट्वा स नृपतिः तत्र विश्वामित्रम् अथ अब्रवीत् ।
अद्य यज्ञ समृद्धिः मे सफला दैवतैः कृता ॥ ॥१-५०-१३॥
Dṛṣṭvā sa nṛpatiḥ tatra viśvāmitram atha abravīt । Adya yajña samṛddhiḥ me saphalā daivataiḥ kṛtā ॥ ॥1-50-13॥
Translation
Seeing Vishwamitra seated there, the King spoke: "Today, the prosperity of my sacrifice has been made truly fruitful by the gods."
हिंदी अनुवाद
वहां विश्वामित्र को (आसीन) देखकर राजा ने कहा—"आज देवताओं ने मेरे यज्ञ की समृद्धि को (वास्तव में) सफल कर दिया है।"
English Commentary
Janaka expresses that the mere presence of Vishwamitra validates his sacrifice. He attributes this visit to the grace of the gods (Daivataiḥ kṛtā). For Janaka, the Yajna Samriddhi (the elaborate preparations and wealth of the sacrifice) finds its true purpose only when blessed by the arrival of a sage of Vishwamitra's caliber. It shifts the focus from ritual mechanics to spiritual validation.

जनक का मानना है कि यज्ञ की सफलता केवल सामग्री या मंत्रों से नहीं, बल्कि महापुरुषों के आगमन से होती है। विश्वामित्र का आना उन्हें देवताओं की कृपा ("दैवतैः कृता") प्रतीत होता है। 'यज्ञ समृद्धि' का अर्थ यज्ञ की भव्य तैयारी है, जो विश्वामित्र के आने से अब सार्थक हो गई है। यह अतिथि को ईश्वर मानने (अतिथि देवो भव) की भावना का उत्कृष्ट उदाहरण है।
