Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
पप्रच्छ कुशलम् राज्ञो यज्ञस्य च निरामयम् ।
स ताम् च अथ मुनीन् पृष्ट्वा स उपाध्याय पुरोधसः ॥ ॥१-५०-९॥
Papraccha kuśalam rājño yajñasya ca nirāmayam । Sa tām ca atha munīn pṛṣṭvā sa upādhyāya purodhasaḥ ॥ ॥1-50-9॥
Translation
He (Vishwamitra) inquired about the welfare of the King and the faultless progress of the sacrifice. Then, he also inquired after the welfare of the sages, teachers, and priests present there.
हिंदी अनुवाद
(विश्वामित्र ने) राजा के कुशल-मंगल और यज्ञ की निर्विघ्नता (निरामयम्) के विषय में पूछा। फिर उन्होंने उन मुनियों तथा उपाध्यायों और पुरोहितों से भी (कुशल) पूछा।
English Commentary
After receiving the honors, Vishwamitra responds with the appropriate inquiries. He asks about the King's welfare and, crucially, about the Niramayam (health/lack of obstacles) of the ongoing sacrifice. Given Vishwamitra’s recent experiences with demons disrupting sacrifices, this is a pertinent query. He then extends his greetings to the assembled community of scholars (Upadhyaya) and priests (Purodhasa), acknowledging the collective effort involved in the Yajna.

शिष्टाचार का क्रम जारी है। आतिथ्य स्वीकार करने के बाद, विश्वामित्र राजा की 'कुशल' (well-being) और यज्ञ की 'निरामयम्' (रोग/विघ्न रहित स्थिति) के बारे में पूछते हैं। यज्ञ में विघ्न आना एक बड़ी चिंता होती थी (जैसा विश्वामित्र के अपने यज्ञ में हुआ था), इसलिए यह प्रश्न महत्वपूर्ण है। इसके बाद वे वहाँ उपस्थित अन्य विद्वानों और शतानन्द (पुरोधसः) का भी हाल-चाल लेते हैं, जो उनके विनम्र और सर्व-समावेशी स्वभाव को दर्शाता है।
