स्वागतम् ते नरश्रेष्ठ दिष्ट्या प्राप्तो असि राघव ।
विश्वामित्रम् पुरस्कृत्य महर्षिम् अपराजितम् ॥ ॥१-५१-१३॥
svāgatam te naraśreṣṭha diṣṭyā prāpto asi rāghava |
viśvāmitram puraskṛtya maharṣim aparājitam ॥1-51-13॥
Translation
Welcome to you, O best among men, Raghava! By good fortune, you have arrived here keeping the unconquerable Maharshi Vishwamitra at the forefront (as your guide).

हे नरश्रेष्ठ राघव! आपका स्वागत है। यह बड़े सौभाग्य की बात है कि आप अपराजित महर्षि विश्वामित्र को आगे करके (उनके नेतृत्व में) यहाँ पधारे हैं।
English Commentary
Satananda formally welcomes Rama to Mithila, addressing him as "Narasrestha" (best among men). He highlights that Rama's arrival is a matter of destiny ("dishtya"). Specifically, Satananda points out the immense fortune that Rama is guided by Vishwamitra, whom he describes as "Aparajitam" (the unconquerable one). This adjective suggests Vishwamitra's indomitable will and his mastery over both martial arts and spiritual asceticism. The verse emphasizes the traditional Indian value that a disciple's greatness is amplified by the stature of the Guru leading them.

शतानंद जी श्रीराम का मिथिला में औपचारिक स्वागत करते हैं। वे कहते हैं कि राम का आगमन 'दिष्ट्या' (भाग्य या दैवीय योग) से हुआ है। लेकिन उससे भी महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि वे विश्वामित्र के नेतृत्व में आए हैं। 'अपराजितम्' शब्द विश्वामित्र के लिए प्रयोग किया गया है, जिसका अर्थ है जिसे कोई हरा न सके—चाहे वह शस्त्र-युद्ध हो या तपस्या का संघर्ष। शतानंद जी यह संकेत दे रहे हैं कि श्रीराम का विश्वामित्र जैसे गुरु के संरक्षण में होना ही उनकी सबसे बड़ी विजय और सुरक्षा की गारंटी है।
