यस्य यस्य यथा कामम् षड् रसेषु अभिपूजितम् ।
तत् सर्वम् काम धुक् दिव्ये अभिवर्ष कृते मम ॥१-५२-२२॥
Yasya yasya yathā kāmam ṣaḍ raseṣu abhipūjitam |
Tat sarvam kāma dhuk divye abhivarṣa kṛte mama ॥1-52-22॥
Translation
O divine Wish-Yielder (Kamadhuk)! Whatever anyone desires among the six tastes (sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent, astringent), please rain down all those items in abundance for my sake.

हे दिव्य कामधुक् (कामना पूर्ण करने वाली)! जिसके मन में जिस प्रकार के षड्रस (छः रसों वाले) भोजन की इच्छा हो, मेरे लिए तुम उन सभी पदार्थों की वर्षा कर दो।
English Commentary
Vashistha’s instruction highlights the concept of a complete meal in Ayurveda, comprising Shad Rasas (six tastes). He does not order a generic meal but commands yasya yasya yatha kamam—customized satisfaction for every individual soldier according to their specific desire. The term Kāmadhuk (yielder of desires) is used functionally here. The verb abhivarṣa (rain down) suggests a miraculous, torrential abundance of food appearing from the ether. This confirms that the hospitality is magical and not bound by the constraints of time, cooking, or agriculture. It elevates the status of the feast from a meal to a divine miracle.

वसिष्ठ जी का निर्देश बहुत विशिष्ट है। वे 'षड् रसेषु' (छः रसों) का उल्लेख करते हैं: मधुर, अम्ल, लवण, कटु, तिक्त और कषाय। एक पूर्ण भोजन में ये छहों रस होने चाहिए। 'यस्य यस्य यथा कामम्' (जिसको जो चाहिए) - यह 'पर्सनलाइज्ड सर्विस' (व्यक्तिगत सेवा) का चरम है। सेना में हजारों सैनिक हैं और सबकी रुचि अलग हो सकती है; वसिष्ठ जी चाहते हैं कि कामधेनु सबके मन की बात जानकर उसे वही दे। 'अभिवर्ष' (वर्षा कर दो) शब्द का प्रयोग बताता है कि भोजन की मात्रा अपार होगी, जैसे आकाश से बारिश हो रही हो। यह श्लोक भारतीय पाक कला (culinary science) की उस समझ को भी दर्शाता है जहाँ भोजन केवल पेट भरने के लिए नहीं, बल्कि रसों के संतुलन के लिए होता है।
