Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
प्रभावद्भिर्महावीर्यैर्हेमकिंजल्कसन्निभैः ।
दीर्घासिपट्टिशधरैर्हेमवर्णाम्बराअवृतैः ॥१-५४-२२॥
prabhāvadbhir mahāvīryair hema kiñjalka sannibhaiḥ |
dīrghāsi paṭṭiśa dharair hema varṇa ambara āvṛtaiḥ ॥1-54-22॥
Translation
[The earth was covered by warriors] who were powerful, of great valor, resembling golden filaments of a lotus. They bore long swords and Pattishas (sharp-edged spears), and were clad in golden-colored garments.

वे (सैनिक) अत्यंत प्रभावशाली और महावीर्यवान थे। वे कमल के केसर (किंजल्क) के समान स्वर्ण आभा वाले थे। वे लंबी तलवारें (असि) और पट्टिश (भाले/फरसे) धारण किए हुए थे और सुनहरे रंग के वस्त्रों से ढके हुए थे।
