ततः तान् आकुलान् दृष्ट्वा विश्वामित्र अस्त्र मोहितान् ।
वसिष्ठः चोदयामास काम धुक् सृज योगतः ॥१-५५-१॥
tataḥ tān ākulān dṛṣṭvā viśvāmitra astra mohitān |
vasiṣṭhaḥ codayāmāsa kāma dhuk sṛja yogataḥ ॥1-55-1॥
Translation
Then, seeing them agitated and deluded by Vishvamitra's Astras, Vashistha urged the Kamadhenu, "Create [more] through the power of Yoga."

इसके बाद, विश्वामित्र के अस्त्रों से मोहित और व्याकुल हुए उन सैनिकों को देखकर, वसिष्ठ ने कामधेनु को प्रेरित किया—"योग बल से (और सेना) उत्पन्न करो।"
English Commentary
Seeing his magical infantry neutralized by Vishvamitra's superior celestial weaponry (astra mohitān), Vashistha realizes that physical numbers are insufficient. He commands Shabala to switch tactics. The phrase sṛja yogataḥ is critical—it means "create via Yoga/spiritual union." He is asking for a creation born of deep mystical power, arguably stronger and more metaphysical than the previous waves. This marks the shift from a physical battle to a battle of Yogic wills. Vashistha acts as the strategist, directing the flow of divine energy.

सर्ग 55 का यह प्रथम श्लोक है। वसिष्ठ देखते हैं कि विश्वामित्र के दिव्यास्त्र भारी पड़ रहे हैं और उनकी सेना 'मोहितान्' (मोहित/मूर्छित) हो रही है। अब वसिष्ठ एक विशिष्ट निर्देश देते हैं: 'सृज योगतः' (योग बल से सृजन करो)। यह सामान्य जन्म या ध्वनि से उत्पत्ति नहीं है, बल्कि यह एक उच्चस्तरीय आध्यात्मिक निर्माण है। ऋषि शबला को अपनी आंतरिक योग-माया शक्ति का उपयोग करने के लिए कहते हैं ताकि विश्वामित्र के दिव्यास्त्रों का मुकाबला किया जा सके। 'कामधुक्' (कामना पूर्ण करने वाली) संबोधन यहाँ सार्थक है, क्योंकि ऋषि विजय की कामना कर रहे हैं।
