कृतार्थम् कीर्तिमन्तम् च स्वर्ग लोक गतम् यथा ।
विश्वामित्रः तु धर्मात्मा सर्व देवैः अभिष्टुतः ॥१-६०-३३॥
Kṛtārtham kīrtimantam ca svarga loka gatam yathā |
Viśvāmitraḥ tu dharmātmā sarva devaiḥ abhiṣṭutaḥ ॥1-60-33॥
Translation
"(The gods said) Let him (Trishanku) be one whose purpose is accomplished, glorious, and like a king who has attained the celestial world. Thereupon, the righteous-souled Vishwamitra was praised by all the gods."

"(देवताओं ने कहा) वह (त्रिशंकु) सफल मनोरथ वाला, यशस्वी और स्वर्ग लोक को प्राप्त राजा के समान हो। इसके बाद, धर्मात्मा विश्वामित्र की सभी देवताओं ने स्तुति की।"
English Commentary
The gods formally legitimized Trishanku's new celestial residence by declaring him 'kṛtārtham' (one whose purpose is accomplished) and 'kīrtimantam' (glorious). This was the final seal of success for Vishwamitra's tapas. Following this, all the gods praised the righteous-souled Vishwamitra, attesting to the incomparable power of his penance. The gods praising a human is an extraordinary event, marking Vishwamitra's ascendancy and the supremacy of his sage-hood. This verse concludes the episode happily, where Vishwamitra receives honor and Trishanku his place.
