अंबरीषः तु राजर्षी रथम् आरोप्य सत्वरः ।
शुनःशेपम् महातेजा जगाम आशु महायशाः ॥१-६१-२४॥
ambarīṣaḥ tu rājarṣī ratham āropya satvaraḥ |
śunaḥśepam mahātejā jagāma āśu mahāyaśāḥ ॥1-61-24॥
Translation
The supremely radiant and highly renowned Rājarṣi Ambarīṣa quickly departed, having mounted Śunaḥśepa onto the chariot.

महातेजस्वी और महायशस्वी राजर्षि अंबरीष तो शुनःशेप को रथ पर बिठाकर बड़ी शीघ्रता से चल दिए।
English Commentary
King Ambarīṣa is addressed here as Rājarṣi (possessing the qualities of both King and Sage), Mahātejā (supremely radiant), and Mahāyaśāḥ (highly renowned). These epithets attest to his righteousness, power, and fame. Given the urgency of the Yajña, the King mounted Śunaḥśepa onto his chariot and departed 'quickly' (āśu) toward his destination. This haste highlights the King's commitment to his sacrifice. However, placing Śunaḥśepa on the chariot was likely due more to the need for rapid transport to the sacrificial site than concern for his comfort. This verse marks the beginning of the journey, which leads to the resting point described in the next Sarga.
