Translation
"All of you shall become dog-meat eaters (the lowest of the low), and like the sons of Vasiṣṭha among the castes, you shall reside on the earth for a full thousand years."

"तुम सब कुत्ते का मांस खाने वाले (अत्यंत नीच) बनकर, जातियों में वसिष्ठ पुत्रों के समान, पूर्ण एक हज़ार वर्षों तक पृथ्वी पर निवास करोगे।"
English Commentary
This curse represents the peak of Viśvāmitra's rage. He inflicted two punishments upon his sons: First, he cursed them to become śva māṃsa bhojinaḥ (dog-meat eaters), which degraded them to the lowest social level and destroyed all the merit of their penance. Second, he cursed them to be 'like the sons of Vasiṣṭha among the castes' (vāsiṣṭhā iva jātiṣu). This references the perpetual enmity between Viśvāmitra and Vasiṣṭha; Vasiṣṭha's sons had also been cursed to lead a degraded life. Viśvāmitra severely punished his sons for their arrogance and disrespect by cursing them to live a miserable life on earth for a full thousand years. This curse demonstrates that Viśvāmitra would not hesitate to sacrifice even his own sons to uphold dharma and his word.
