अयम् सुर पते घोरो विश्वामित्रो महामुनिः ।
क्रोधम् उत्स्रच्यते घोरम् मयि देव न संशयः ॥१-६४-३॥
ayam sura pate ghoro viśvāmitro mahāmuniḥ |
krodham utsracchyate ghoram mayi deva na saṃśayaḥ ॥1-64-3॥
Translation
"O Lord of Gods! This great sage Vishvamitra is terrible in nature. There is no doubt that he will unleash his fierce anger upon me."

"हे सुरपति! ये महामुनि विश्वामित्र अत्यंत भयानक (घोर) स्वभाव के हैं। इसमें कोई संशय नहीं कि वे अपना घोर क्रोध मुझ पर ही उतारेंगे।"
English Commentary
Rambha explicitly voices her fear, characterizing Vishvamitra as ghora (terrifying/fierce). She foresees the inevitable consequence: being the target of his accumulated wrath. Her statement 'There is no doubt' (na saṃśayaḥ) indicates her awareness of the sage's volatile temperament. Philosophically, this highlights the burden placed on subordinates who must execute risky commands for their superiors (Indra), knowing fully well they will bear the brunt of the consequences.

रंभा की आशंका निराधार नहीं है। वह विश्वामित्र को 'घोर' (भयानक) विशेषण से संबोधित करती है, जो उनकी उग्र साधना और अतीत के क्रोधी स्वभाव को इंगित करता है। रंभा जानती है कि तपस्या भंग होने पर ऋषियों का पहला कोप विघ्न डालने वाले माध्यम पर ही गिरता है, न कि मुख्य षड्यंत्रकारी (इंद्र) पर। यह श्लोक सत्ता के खेल में छोटे मोहरों (pawns) की असुरक्षा को उजागर करता है।
