सा श्रुत्वा वचनम् तस्य कृत्वा रूपम् अनुत्तमम् ।
लोभयामास ललिता विश्वामित्रम् शुचि स्मिता ॥१-६४-८॥
sā śrutvā vacanam tasya kṛtvā rūpam anuttamam |
lobhayāmāsa lalitā viśvāmitram śuci smitā ॥1-64-8॥
Translation
Hearing his words, she assumed an unsurpassed form and, with a bright smile, the beautiful damsel began to allure Vishvamitra.

इंद्र के वचन सुनकर, उस सुंदरी (ललिता) ने अनुपम रूप धारण किया और अपनी पवित्र/उज्ज्वल मुस्कान (शुचि स्मिता) से विश्वामित्र को लुभाना आरंभ किया।
English Commentary
Rambha executes the order despite her earlier trepidation. She assumes a form described as anuttamam (unsurpassed/best). The descriptor shuchi smita (bright/pure smile) is significant; it suggests an innocent, radiant smile designed to disarm the sage, hiding the intent of seduction. She begins the act of lobhayāmāsa (tempting/alluring), engaging in the dangerous dance of distraction.

रंभा ने आज्ञा का पालन किया। 'ललिता' शब्द उसकी सुंदरता और हाव-भाव को दर्शाता है। 'शुचि स्मिता' (पवित्र मुस्कान) यहाँ एक विरोधाभास है—उसकी मुस्कान बाहर से उज्ज्वल और पवित्र दिख रही है, किन्तु उसका उद्देश्य कपटपूर्ण है। उसने विश्वामित्र का ध्यान खींचने के लिए अपनी पूरी कला लगा दी।
