विनाशयति त्रैलोक्यम् तपसा स चर अचरम् ।
व्याकुलाः च दिशः सर्वा न च किंचित् प्रकाशते ॥ ॥१-६५-१३॥
Vināśayati trailokyam tapasā sa cara acaram |
Vyākulāḥ ca diśaḥ sarvā na ca kiṃcit prakāśate ॥1-65-13॥
Translation
"...he will destroy the three worlds, including all moving and unmoving beings, with his penance. All directions are agitated (obscured), and nothing shines clearly."

"...तो वे अपने तप से चर और अचर सहित तीनों लोकों का विनाश कर देंगे। सभी दिशाएं व्याकुल (धुंधली) हो गई हैं और कहीं कुछ भी प्रकाश नहीं दिखाई दे रहा।"
English Commentary
The potential consequences of ignoring Vishvamitra are laid out starkly: total annihilation. The energy he has accumulated is so massive that it threatens the structural integrity of the cosmos ("Cara Acaram" - animate and inanimate). The description of darkened directions and lack of light suggests a reversion to primordial chaos. It is a philosophical point that immense power, if not channeled or acknowledged by the divine order (Brahma), leads to entropy. The universe is holding its breath along with the sage.

यहाँ ऋषियों और देवताओं का भय चरम पर है। विश्वामित्र का तप अब सृजन नहीं, बल्कि संहार की ओर बढ़ रहा है। "चर अचरम्" का अर्थ है जड़ और चेतन सभी का विनाश। दिशाओं का "व्याकुल" होना और प्रकाश का न होना यह दर्शाता है कि ब्रह्मांडीय व्यवस्था (Cosmic Order/Rta) चरमरा रही है। जब तपस्या की ऊर्जा को सही दिशा या मोक्ष नहीं मिलता, तो वह विस्फोटक हो सकती है। विश्वामित्र 'ब्रह्मर्षि' पद पाने के लिए ब्रह्मांड को दांव पर लगा चुके थे।
