सागराः क्षुभिताः सर्वे विशीर्यन्ते च पर्वताः ।
प्रकंपते च वसुधा वायुः वाति इह संकुलः ॥ ॥१-६५-१४॥
Sāgarāḥ kṣubhitāḥ sarve viśīryante ca parvatāḥ |
Prakampate ca vasudhā vāyuḥ vāti iha saṃkulaḥ ॥1-65-14॥
Translation
"All the oceans are turbulent, the mountains are crumbling, the earth is trembling, and the wind blows chaotically here."

"सारे समुद्र उद्वेलित हो रहे हैं, पर्वत टूटकर बिखर रहे हैं, पृथ्वी कांप रही है और यहाँ वायु भी अव्यवस्थित होकर बह रही है।"
English Commentary
The physical symptoms of the spiritual crisis are manifest as natural disasters. The verse lists earthquakes, tsunamis, and erratic winds ("Vayu... Sankulah"). This reflects the concept that the microcosm (the sage's body) and the macrocosm (the universe) are linked. By stopping his internal breath (Prana), Vishvamitra has disrupted the external wind (Vayu). The crumbling mountains symbolize that even the most stable structures in existence cannot withstand the force of a human will that has transcended limitation.

यह श्लोक प्रकृति पर पड़ने वाले दुष्प्रभावों का वर्णन करता है। पंचमहाभूत (पृथ्वी, जल, वायु आदि) अपना संतुलन खो रहे हैं। पर्वतों का टूटना पृथ्वी तत्व की अस्थिरता है, सागरों का उफनना जल तत्व का प्रकोप है, और संकुल वायु प्राण शक्ति के असंतुलन का प्रतीक है। यह 'प्रलय' का दृश्य है। विश्वामित्र की स्थिर समाधि बाहर की दुनिया में अस्थिरता पैदा कर रही थी। यह विरोधाभास अद्भुत है: साधक भीतर से जितना शांत है, बाहर उतनी ही उथल-पुथल है।
