विश्वामित्रम् महात्मानम् वाक्यम् मधुरम् अब्रुवन् ।
ब्रह्मर्षे स्वागतम् ते अस्तु तपसा स्म सु तोषिताः ॥ ॥१-६५-१९॥
Viśvāmitram mahātmānam vākyam madhuram abruvan । Brahmarṣe svāgatam te astu tapasā sma su toṣitāḥ ॥ ॥1-65-19॥
Translation
They spoke to the great-souled Vishvamitra in sweet words: "O Brahmarishi! Welcome to you. We are truly well-pleased by your penance."

उन्होंने महात्मा विश्वामित्र से मधुर वचनों में कहा— "हे ब्रह्मर्षि! आपका स्वागत है। हम आपकी तपस्या से अत्यंत संतुष्ट हैं।"
English Commentary
This is the pivotal moment where Brahma addresses Vishvamitra as "Brahmarishi" for the first time. The use of "sweet words" indicates a shift in the celestial attitude from fear or resistance to genuine respect and acceptance. The validation of a spiritual aspirant comes when the higher powers express satisfaction (su toṣitāḥ) with their effort. It signifies that Vishvamitra’s penance has finally transcended ego and aggression, reaching a state of purity that merits the highest title in the Vedic hierarchy.

यहाँ ब्रह्माजी ने पहली बार विश्वामित्र को "ब्रह्मर्षि" कहकर संबोधित किया। यह वही शब्द है जिसके लिए विश्वामित्र ने वर्षों तक कठोर संघर्ष किया था। "मधुरम् वाक्यम्" (मधुर वचन) दर्शाता है कि अब देवताओं के मन में भय या ईर्ष्या नहीं, बल्कि आदर है। परमात्मा या गुरु की संतुष्टि ही तपस्या का वास्तविक फल है। जब ब्रह्माजी कहते हैं कि वे "सु तोषिताः" (भली-भांति संतुष्ट) हैं, तो यह पुष्टि करता है कि विश्वामित्र का तप अब राजसिक या तामसिक नहीं, बल्कि शुद्ध सात्विक हो चुका है।
