विश्वामित्रो अपि धर्मात्मा लब्ध्वा ब्राह्मण्यम् उत्तमम् ।
पूजयामास ब्रह्मर्षिम् वसिष्ठम् जपताम् वरम् ॥ ॥१-६५-२७॥
Viśvāmitro api dharmātmā labdhvā brāhmaṇyam uttamam । Pūjayāmāsa brahmarṣim vasiṣṭham japatām varam ॥ ॥1-65-27॥
Translation
Vishvamitra too, the righteous soul, having attained the supreme status of a Brahmana, worshipped the Brahmarishi Vashistha, the best among those who chant.

धर्मात्मा विश्वामित्र ने भी उत्तम ब्राह्मणत्व प्राप्त करके, जप करने वालों में श्रेष्ठ ब्रह्मर्षि वशिष्ठ की पूजा (आदर-सत्कार) की।
English Commentary
Even after winning his hard-fought title, Vishvamitra shows his transformed character by worshipping Vashistha. Instead of gloating over his victory, he pays homage to the very sage who tested him. This act proves he truly deserves the title "Brahmarishi." The term "Dharmatma" (righteous soul) is used for Vishvamitra, indicating his alignment with Dharma. It is a lesson that the height of knowledge results in humility and reverence for other realized souls.

अपनी विजय के क्षण में विश्वामित्र का व्यवहार देखने योग्य है। वे अहंकार से नहीं भरते, बल्कि वशिष्ठ की 'पूजा' करते हैं। यह उनकी आध्यात्मिक परिपक्वता को दर्शाता है। जिसे वे पहले शत्रु मानते थे, अब उसे आदरणीय मानते हैं। "धर्मात्मा" विशेषण बताता है कि विश्वामित्र अब धर्म के साक्षात स्वरूप हैं। यह श्लोक सिखाता है कि महानता प्राप्ति के बाद विनम्रता ही एक सच्चे ब्राह्मण (ज्ञानी) का आभूषण होती है।
