एष राम मुनि श्रेष्ठ एष विग्रहवान् तपः ।
एष धर्मः परो नित्यम् वीर्यस्य एष परायणम् ॥ ॥१-६५-२९॥
Eṣa rāma muni śreṣṭha eṣa vigrahavān tapaḥ । Eṣa dharmaḥ paro nityam vīryasya eṣa parāyaṇam ॥ ॥1-65-29॥
Translation
"O Rama, he is the best of Munis; he is asceticism personified. He is the eternal supreme Dharma, and he is the ultimate repository of valor."

"हे राम! ये मुनियों में श्रेष्ठ हैं, ये साक्षात तपस्या की मूर्ति (विग्रह) हैं। ये ही परम सनातन धर्म हैं और ये ही वीरता (वीर्य) के परम आश्रय हैं।"
English Commentary
This is the eulogy characterizing Vishvamitra as he stands before Rama. He is described as "Vigrahavan Tapah"—penance taken physical form. He embodies both Dharma (righteousness) and Virya (heroic valor). This combination is rare; usually, sages represent peace and kings represent power. Vishvamitra represents the perfect synthesis of both. By praising him thus, Shatananda instills deep faith in Rama regarding his preceptor's capability, assuring him that he is under the guidance of the ultimate master of both spiritual and martial arts.

यह अंतिम श्लोक विश्वामित्र की स्तुति का शिखर है। शतानन्द उन्हें "विग्रहवान् तपः" कहते हैं—मानो तपस्या ने ही शरीर धारण कर लिया हो। उन्हें धर्म और वीर्य (पराक्रम) का संगम बताया गया है। एक ब्राह्मण का धर्म और एक क्षत्रिय का वीर्य—इन दोनों का ऐसा अद्भुत समन्वय केवल विश्वामित्र में है। राम को यह बताने का उद्देश्य है कि उनके गुरु (विश्वामित्र) कितने समर्थ और वंदनीय हैं। जिस गुरु के पास ऐसा तप और बल हो, उसका शिष्य (राम) अवश्य ही महान कार्य करेगा।
