Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
श्रुतम् मया महातेजो रामेण च महात्मना ।
सदस्यैः प्राप्य च सदः श्रुताः ते बहवो गुणाः ॥ ॥१-६५-३४॥
Śrutam mayā mahātejo rāmeṇa ca mahātmanā । Sadasyaiḥ prāpya ca sadaḥ śrutāḥ te bahavo guṇāḥ ॥ ॥1-65-34॥
Translation
"O Highly Resplendent One! It has been heard by me, by the great-souled Rama, and by the members of the assembly who have gathered here; your many virtues have been heard."

"हे महातेजस्वी! मैंने, महात्मा राम ने, और सभा में उपस्थित अन्य सभी सदस्यों ने आपके बहुत से गुणों को सुना है।"
English Commentary
Janaka specifically lists the audience to assure Vishvamitra that his legacy has been duly honored. Mentioning "Mahatmana Ramena" (by the great-souled Rama) is strategic; Janaka realizes that Vishvamitra's primary focus is Rama, and knowing that Rama has absorbed these lessons pleases the sage. The collective listening by the assembly ("sadasyaih") implies that Vishvamitra’s stature is now undisputed in Mithila, setting the stage for the upcoming events involving the bow.

जनक यह सुनिश्चित करते हैं कि विश्वामित्र जानें कि उनकी कथा किसने सुनी। विशेष रूप से "रामेण च महात्मना" (महात्मा राम के द्वारा भी) का उल्लेख महत्वपूर्ण है। जनक जानते हैं कि विश्वामित्र राम के विकास के लिए ही यहाँ आए हैं। पूरी सभा (सदस्यैः) के सामने गुणों का बखान होना विश्वामित्र की प्रतिष्ठा को जनक के दरबार में स्थापित करता है। यह एक सार्वजनिक अनुमोदन (public validation) है।
