राजानम् प्रश्रितैः वाक्यैः आनयंतु पुरम् मम ।
प्रदानम् वीर्य शुक्लायाः कथयंतु च सर्वशः ॥ ॥१-६७-२५॥
Rājānam praśritaiḥ vākyaiḥ ānayaṃtu puram mama । Pradānam vīrya śuklāyāḥ kathayaṃtu ca sarvaśaḥ ॥ ॥1-67-25॥
Translation
Let them bring the King to my city using humble and respectful words, and let them narrate to him the entire account of the giving away of my daughter, who was to be won by valor.

वे (मंत्री) अत्यंत विनम्र वचनों से राजा दशरथ को मेरे नगर (मिथिला) में ले आएँ और उन्हें 'वीर्यशुल्का' (सीता) के प्रदान किए जाने का सारा वृत्तांत विस्तार से बताएँ।
English Commentary
Janaka instructs his ministers on the diplomatic nuance required for the mission. They are to use prashritaih vakyaih (humble and respectful words) to invite King Dasharatha. This is not a summons, but a respectful request from one sovereign to another to form an alliance. They are also tasked with explaining the context of Virya Shulka (the bride as a prize of valor). Janaka wants to ensure Dasharatha understands that Sita is being offered not just as a gift, but as a prize rightfully won by Rama's extraordinary strength.

जनक अपने मंत्रियों को कूटनीति और विनम्रता का पाठ पढ़ा रहे हैं। वे निर्देश देते हैं कि राजा दशरथ को 'प्रश्रितैः वाक्यैः' (विनम्र शब्दों में) आमंत्रित किया जाए। यह संबंध जोड़ने की पहल है, इसलिए अहंकार का लेशमात्र भी नहीं होना चाहिए। उन्हें यह भी निर्देश दिया गया कि वे 'वीर्यशुल्का' के बारे में सब कुछ बताएँ— अर्थात कैसे प्रतिज्ञा थी और कैसे राम ने उसे पूरा किया। जनक चाहते हैं कि दशरथ को यह जानकर गर्व हो कि उनके पुत्र ने अपने बाहुबल से वधू प्राप्त की है, न कि केवल दान स्वरूप।
