Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
कौशिकः च तथा इति आह राजा च आभाष्य मंत्रिणः ।
अयोध्याम् प्रेषयामास धर्मात्मा कृत शासनान् ।
यथा वृत्तम् समाख्यातुम् आनेतुम् च नृपम् तथा ॥ ॥१-६७-२७॥
Kauśikaḥ ca tathā iti āha rājā ca ābhāṣya maṃtriṇaḥ । Ayodhyām preṣayāmāsa dharmātmā kṛta śāsanān । Yathā vṛttam samākhyātum ānetum ca nṛpam tathā ॥ ॥1-67-27॥
Translation
Kaushika said, 'So be it.' Then the righteous King Janaka, having spoken to and instructed his ministers, sent them to Ayodhya to narrate exactly what had happened and to bring the King.
हिंदी अनुवाद
विश्वामित्र जी ने "तथास्तु" (वैसा ही हो) कहा। तब धर्मात्मा राजा जनक ने अपने मंत्रियों को आज्ञा देकर अयोध्या भेजा, ताकि वे घटित वृत्तांत सुना सकें और राजा दशरथ को ले आएँ।
English Commentary
This verse marks the transition from planning to action. Once Vishvamitra gives his assent ('Tatha iti'), Janaka immediately dispatches the envoys. The epithet Dharmatma is used for Janaka, emphasizing his adherence to proper conduct by consulting the Sage and following protocol. The ministers are described as krita shasanan (those who have received orders), implying they were briefed thoroughly on their mission: to report the events truthfully (yatha vrittam) and to escort King Dasharatha to Mithila for the union.

इस श्लोक में योजना के क्रियान्वयन का वर्णन है। विश्वामित्र की स्वीकृति मिलते ही जनक ने विलंब नहीं किया। उन्हें 'धर्मात्मा' कहा गया है क्योंकि उन्होंने गुरु की आज्ञा और अतिथि सत्कार के धर्म का पालन किया। मंत्रियों को 'कृत शासनान्' (जिन्हें शासन या आदेश दिया गया हो) कहा गया है, जिसका अर्थ है कि वे पूरी तरह से राजा के निर्देशों से बंधे थे और उन्हें ठीक वैसा ही करना था जैसा कहा गया था—'यथा वृत्तम्' (जैसा घटा था, ठीक वैसा ही बताना)। सत्य और पारदर्शिता जनक के व्यवहार का मूल है।
