बद्ध अंजलि पुटाः सर्वे दूता विगत साध्वसाः ।
राजानम् प्रश्रितम् वाक्यम् अब्रुवन् मधुर अक्षरम् ॥ ॥१-६८-३॥
Baddha añjali puṭāḥ sarve dūtā vigata sādhvasāḥ । Rājānam praśritam vākyam abruvan madhura akṣaram ॥ ॥1-68-3॥
Translation
With palms joined in salutation and free from any apprehension, all the messengers spoke respectful words in sweet accents to the King.

उन सभी दूतों ने हाथ जोड़कर, बिना किसी भय के (आत्मविश्वास के साथ), महाराज से विनम्र और मधुर अक्षरों वाला यह वचन कहा।
English Commentary
The demeanor of the messengers strikes a balance between reverence and confidence. They stand with joined palms (baddha anjali), a sign of deep respect. Yet, they are vigata sadhvasah (free from nervousness). This lack of fear stems from the positive nature of their mission; they are bearers of joy, not conflict. Their speech is described as madhura aksharam (sweet-lettered), ensuring that the delivery of the message is as pleasant as the content itself.

दूतों की शारीरिक भाषा और मनोदशा का यहाँ सुंदर चित्रण है। 'बद्ध अंजलि' (जुड़े हुए हाथ) आदर का प्रतीक है। 'विगत साध्वसाः' (भय रहित) महत्वपूर्ण है—आमतौर पर छोटे कर्मचारी राजा के सामने घबराते हैं, लेकिन ये दूत शुभ समाचार लाए थे और जनक के प्रतिनिधि थे, इसलिए वे आत्मविश्वास से भरे थे। उनकी वाणी 'मधुर अक्षरम्' (मीठे शब्दों वाली) थी, जो एक सुखद संदेश देने की पूर्वपीठिका है। वे जानते थे कि जो वे कहने जा रहे हैं, वह राजा को प्रसन्न कर देगा।
