पृष्ट्वा कुशलम् अव्यग्रम् वैदेहो मिथिलाधिपः ।
कौशिक अनुमते वाक्यम् भवन्तम् इदम् अब्रवीत् ॥ ॥१-६८-६॥
Pṛṣṭvā kuśalam avyagram vaideho mithilādhipaḥ । Kauśika anumate vākyam bhavantam idam abravīt ॥ ॥1-68-6॥
Translation
Having inquired about your undisturbed welfare, the King of Videha, Lord of Mithila, speaks these words to you with the permission of Kaushika (Vishvamitra).
हिंदी अनुवाद
आपकी निर्विघ्न कुशलता पूछने के पश्चात, विदेहराज मिथिलाधिपति (जनक) ने विश्वामित्र जी की अनुमति लेकर आपसे यह वचन कहा है।
English Commentary
After the formal exchange of pleasantries (kushalam prishtva), the messengers pivot to the core business. They refer to Janaka as Vaideha (of the Videha lineage). Crucially, they invoke the name of Vishvamitra again (Kaushika anumate). By stating that the message comes with the Sage's stamp of approval, they ensure King Dasharatha receives it with utmost seriousness and trust. It signals that the events that transpired were under divine guidance.

शिष्टाचार पूरा होने के बाद अब दूत मुख्य संदेश पर आते हैं। 'अव्यग्रम्' का अर्थ है शांत चित्त से या बिना किसी व्याकुलता के। संदेश सुनाने से पहले वे पुनः स्पष्ट करते हैं कि यह संदेश 'कौशिक अनुमते' (विश्वामित्र की अनुमति से) भेजा गया है। विश्वामित्र का नाम लेने से संदेश का वजन बढ़ जाता है क्योंकि दशरथ विश्वामित्र का बहुत सम्मान करते हैं और उन्हीं के साथ उन्होंने राम को भेजा था। यह नाम सुनते ही दशरथ की विश्वसनीयता और बढ़ जाएगी।
