अद्य सर्वे धन अध्यक्षा धनम् आदाय पुष्कलम् ।
व्रजंति अग्रे सु विहिता नाणा रत्न समन्विताः ॥ ॥१-६९-२॥
Adya sarve dhanādhyakṣā dhanam ādāya puṣkalam । Vrajanti agre su vihitā nānā ratna samanvitāḥ ॥ ॥1-69-2॥
Translation
Let all the treasurers, carrying ample wealth and accompanied by various kinds of gems, proceed ahead today, well-organized and protected.

आज सभी कोषाध्यक्ष (खजांची) प्रभूत धन और नाना प्रकार के रत्नों को साथ लेकर, भली-भांति सुरक्षित होकर सेना के आगे चलें।
English Commentary
This verse highlights the logistical grandeur of an ancient royal procession. King Dasharatha commands his treasurers to lead the march, carrying vast amounts of gold and gems. This serves two purposes: firstly, to ensure there are ample resources for gifts and charity during the wedding in Mithila, and secondly, to manage the expenses of the massive army traveling with him. The instruction to be 'well-organized' (su vihitā) implies that transporting such wealth required heavy security. It sets the tone for a journey that is not just a travel plan, but a majestic event in itself.

महाराज दशरथ यहाँ एक भव्य विवाहोत्सव के लिए प्रस्थान कर रहे हैं। यह श्लोक प्राचीन भारतीय राजसी शिष्टाचार को दर्शाता है जहाँ वर पक्ष खाली हाथ नहीं जाता। 'धनाध्यक्ष' (कोषाध्यक्ष) को सबसे आगे भेजने का अर्थ है कि जनकपुर में दान-पुण्य और उपहारों की कोई कमी नहीं होनी चाहिए। 'सु विहिता' शब्द सूचित करता है कि यह धन सुरक्षित पहरे में भेजा जा रहा है। यह तैयारी दशरथ के वैभव और जनक के प्रति उनके सम्मान को प्रदर्शित करती है, क्योंकि वे अपने पुत्रों के विवाह के लिए कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ना चाहते।
