Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
त्वरया अभुपयातो अहम् द्रष्टु कामः स्वसुः सुतम् ।
अथ राजा दशरथः प्रिय अतिथिम् उपस्थितम् ॥ ॥१-७३-६॥
Tvarayā abhupayāto aham draṣṭu kāmaḥ svasuḥ sutam । Atha rājā Daśarathaḥ priya atithim upasthitam ॥ ॥1-73-6॥
Translation
"Desiring to see my sister's son, I came here quickly." Then King Dasharatha (honored) the dear guest who had arrived.
हिंदी अनुवाद
"तब मैं अपनी बहन के पुत्र (भरत) को देखने की इच्छा से शीघ्रतापूर्वक यहाँ आया हूँ।" इसके बाद राजा दशरथ ने उपस्थित हुए उस प्रिय अतिथि का (सत्कार किया)।
English Commentary
Yudhajit concludes his explanation, emphasizing his haste (tvarayā) driven by the affection for his nephew. Dasharatha receives him warmly, treating him as a priya atithim (dear guest). This accidental convergence is fortunate; it ensures that representatives from the maternal side of the groom (specifically for Bharata) are present for the wedding rituals, adding to the completeness and joy of the occasion.

युधाजित कहते हैं कि वे 'त्वरया' (शीघ्रता से) यहाँ आए हैं क्योंकि वे भरत से मिलने के लिए आतुर हैं। विवाह का अवसर इस मिलन को और भी सुखद बना देता है। राजा दशरथ उन्हें 'प्रिय अतिथि' मानते हैं। यद्यपि वे बिन बुलाए आए (क्योंकि निमंत्रण भेजने का समय नहीं था), फिर भी संबंधी होने के नाते उनका स्वागत पूरे सम्मान के साथ किया गया। अब रघुकुल के विवाह में भरत के ननिहाल पक्ष की उपस्थिति भी सुनिश्चित हो गई।
