लोकाः तु अप्रतिमा राम निर्जिताः तपसा मया ।
जहि तान् शर मुख्येन मा भूत् कालस्य पर्ययः ॥१-७६-१६॥
lokāḥ tu apratimā rāma nirjitāḥ tapasā mayā |
jahi tān śara mukhyena mā bhūt kālasya paryayaḥ ॥1-76-16॥
Translation
But, O Rama, destroy with this foremost arrow those matchless worlds I have conquered through my penance. Let there be no delay.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राम! मैंने अपनी तपस्या से जो अनुपम पुण्य-लोक जीते हैं, आप इस श्रेष्ठ बाण से उन्हें नष्ट कर दीजिये। (शीघ्र कीजिये) ताकि काल का व्यत्यय (देरी) न हो।
English Commentary
Here, Parashurama sacrifices the fruits of his karma. The "worlds" (Lokas) represent the spiritual status and celestial abodes earned through eons of severe penance. By asking Rama to destroy these, he effectively resets his spiritual account to zero to preserve his dharma of keeping his word to Kashyapa. The urgency ("let there be no delay") reinforces that material or spiritual gain is secondary to adhering to Truth (Satya). It is a supreme act of surrender to the Lord.

यह परशुराम जी का महान त्याग है। एक तपस्वी के लिए उसकी तपस्या का फल (पुण्य लोक) ही सबसे बड़ी संपत्ति होती है। परशुराम जी अपनी 'गति' (वचन पालन की क्षमता) बचाने के लिए अपनी जीवन भर की कमाई—अपने पुण्य लोकों—की आहुति दे रहे हैं। 'मा भूत् कालस्य पर्ययः' (देरी न हो) यह दर्शाता है कि सूर्यास्त समीप है और वे अपने वचन के प्रति कितने अधिक सचेत हैं। यह श्लोक सिद्ध करता है कि अहंकार टूटने के बाद भी परशुराम का वैराग्य और सत्य के प्रति निष्ठा अटल है।
