चोदयामास ताम् सेनाम् जगाम आशु ततः पुरीम् ।
पताका ध्वजिनीम् रम्याम् तूर्य उद् घुष्ट निनादिताम् ॥१-७७-६॥
codayāmāsa tām senām jagāma āśu tataḥ purīm |
patākā dhvajinīm ramyām tūrya ud ghuṣṭa nināditām ॥1-77-6॥
Translation
He urged the army forward and proceeded quickly to the city (Ayodhya), which was adorned with banners and flags and resounding with the blast of trumpets.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राजा ने उस सेना को चलने का आदेश दिया और शीघ्र ही उस रमणीय पुरी (अयोध्या) की ओर चल पड़े, जो पताकाओं और ध्वजाओं से सुसज्जित थी और तूर्य (तुरही/वाद्यों) की ध्वनि से गूंज रही थी।
English Commentary
The narrative shifts to the joyful return. The procession accelerates ("aashu") towards Ayodhya. The description of the city—decked with flags ("pataka") and resounding with trumpets ("turya")—sets a celebratory mood. It contrasts sharply with the silent tension of the previous scene in the forest. The city acts as a welcoming character, ready to receive its princes and new princesses.

अब वातावरण उत्सव का है। विवाह के बाद बारात लौट रही है और रास्ते का विघ्न समाप्त हो चुका है। 'आशु' (शीघ्र) शब्द दिखाता है कि अब वे जल्द से जल्द घर पहुँचना चाहते हैं। अयोध्या नगरी अपने राजकुमारों और नववधुओं के स्वागत के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार है। वाद्यों की ध्वनि विजय और उत्सव का उद्घोष कर रही है।
