ऊचुः च परम प्रीताः सर्वे दशरथम् वचः ।
संभाराः संभ्रियंताम् ते तुरगः च विमुच्यताम् ॥१-८-११॥
ūcuḥ ca parama prītāḥ sarve daśaratham vacaḥ |
saṃbhārāḥ saṃbhriyantāṃ te turagaḥ ca vimucyatām ॥1-8-11॥
Translation
And all of them (the Brahmins), being exceedingly pleased, spoke these words to Dasharatha: “Let your materials (for the sacrifice) be collected, and let the horse be released.”

वे सभी (ब्राह्मण) अत्यन्त प्रसन्न होकर दशरथ से यह वचन बोले: "आपकी यज्ञ-सामग्री एकत्र की जाए और अश्व को मुक्त कर दिया जाए।"
English Commentary
This shloka, from Sarga 8 of the Balakanda, records the immediate instructions given by the assembly of Brahmins, led by Maharishi Vasishtha, after approving Maharaja Dasharatha’s resolve to perform the Ashwamedha sacrifice for progeny. The term 'parama prītāḥ' (exceedingly pleased) signifies the sincere happiness of the preceptors at the King's righteous decision. They do not merely express satisfaction but proceed to command the initiation of the preliminary preparations. 'Saṃbhārāḥ saṃbhriyantāṃ te' means that all the necessary materials for the sacrifice (like grains, ghee, vessels, etc.) should be collected immediately, and 'turagaḥ ca vimucyatām' means that the horse designated for the Ashwamedha Yajna should be released for its customary voyage of conquest (digvijaya). The Ashwamedha ritual formally begins with the release of the horse. This prompt instruction highlights the intensity of the preceptors' blessings and their full agreement, empowering King Dasharatha to commence the actions necessary for the fulfillment of his desire.

यह श्लोक बालकाण्ड के सर्ग ८ का है, जिसमें महर्षि वशिष्ठ के नेतृत्व में ब्राह्मणों का समूह महाराज दशरथ के पुत्र-प्राप्ति हेतु अश्वमेध यज्ञ करने के संकल्प का अनुमोदन करने के बाद, अब उसे कार्यान्वित करने के लिए तत्काल निर्देश दे रहा है। 'परम प्रीताः' (अत्यन्त प्रसन्न होकर) शब्द दर्शाता है कि गुरुजनों को राजा का यह धर्मसम्मत निर्णय सुनकर हार्दिक प्रसन्नता हुई। अब वे केवल संकल्प पर संतोष व्यक्त नहीं करते, बल्कि यज्ञ की प्रारंभिक तैयारियों को गति देने का आदेश देते हैं। 'संभाराः संभ्रियंताम् ते' का अर्थ है कि यज्ञ के लिए आवश्यक सभी सामग्री (जैसे अन्न, घी, पात्र, आदि) तुरंत एकत्र की जाएँ, और 'तुरगः च विमुच्यताम्' का अर्थ है कि अश्वमेध यज्ञ के लिए चुने गए घोड़े को दिग्विजय यात्रा के लिए मुक्त कर दिया जाए। अश्वमेध यज्ञ की प्रक्रिया अश्व को मुक्त करने से ही शुरू होती है। यह त्वरित निर्देश गुरुजनों के आशीर्वाद की तीव्रता और उनकी पूर्ण सहमति को दर्शाते हैं, जिससे राजा दशरथ को अपने मनोरथ की सिद्धि के लिए तुरंत कार्य शुरू करने का बल प्राप्त होता है।
