स्वरेण वर्चसा च एव प्रेक्षितेन च वानर ।
विक्रमेण च वाक्यैः च व्यक्तिम् वाम् न उपलक्षये ॥ ॥४-१२-३१॥
svareṇa varcasā ca eva prekṣitena ca vānara । vikrameṇa ca vākyaiḥ ca vyaktim vām na upalakṣaye ॥ ॥4-12-31॥
Translation
"In voice, luster, gaze, valor, and even in speech, O Vanara, I could not perceive any distinction between the two of you."

"तुम्हारी आवाज (स्वर), कांति (वर्चस), दृष्टि (देखने का ढंग), पराक्रम और वाक्यों में भी, हे वानर! मैं तुम दोनों में कोई भेद (व्यक्ति) नहीं देख पाया।"
English Commentary
Rama expands the list of similarities. It wasn't just external appearance; their 'svara' (voice) and 'vikrama' (fighting style) were also identical. 'Vyaktim' here refers to 'individuality' or 'distinction'. In the dust and speed of combat, with two warriors fighting with equal force and fury, distinguishing them became impossible. This also highlights Rama's keen observation, as he noted all these specific attributes even amidst the chaos.

राम समानता की सूची को और विस्तार देते हैं। केवल बाहरी रूप ही नहीं, बल्कि 'स्वर' (आवाज) और 'विक्रम' (लड़ने का तरीका) भी समान थे। 'व्यक्तिम्' का अर्थ यहाँ 'विशिष्टता' (Individuality) या 'भेद' है। युद्ध की धूल और गति में, जब दो योद्धा समान बल और क्रोध से लड़ रहे हों, तो उन्हें अलग करना असंभव हो गया था। यह राम की सूक्ष्म अवलोकन शक्ति (keen observation) को भी दर्शाता है कि उन्होंने इन सभी पहलुओं को नोट किया।
